The classical Otamatone is difficult to play simply because of its analog nature, – a press on the ribbon can easily go off tone. (Youtube video) We therefore empowered it with a Raspberry Pi 4 for control and an Arduino Nano 33 BLE sense to aid with calibration, which makes playing the Otamatone as easy as playing on a keyboard. We also built a touchscreen user interface to allow full functionality without manually running scripts and/or commands.
